Mileur's Guide Service focuses on finding game in truly wild places and hunting them in a way that encompasses the meaning of fair chase. With 45 years of experience and still counting we are proud to offer clients with a wide array of hunts from Kodiak to the Alaska Range. We are a small operation that prides itself on building good relationships with our clients. We are not just outfitters we are also guides. We want to share your experience with you by taking you on a hunt that you will remember for a lifetime.
Meet the Team
Scott Mileur
Founder & Registered Guide (#527)

Scot was born and raised in a Murphysboro, IL. He moved to Alaska as a young man and knew that this place was his home. Scott began guiding in Alaska in 1979. He trained under legendary guides all over the state that included Stan Frost, Clark Engle, Hoppy Harrower, Red Beeman, Mel Gillis, Keith Johnson, Rick Halford, Morris Talifson and Bill Pinnell. Scott is an experienced woodsman and has spent his whole adult life guiding clients for Alaska's big game. He has trapped, hunted, and fished his whole life and has a strong passion for the outdoors. His career as a Kodiak brown bear guide is well known. He has focused on working hard for clients and doing everything he can to ensure a clients success. Scott spends his off season hunting for himself throughout Alaska and spending time with his wife Bettina and their two dogs.
Zane Mileur
Registered Guide (# 170628)

Zane was born and raised in Palmer, Alaska. Being the son of guide/outfitter his experience packing and being an assistant guide started at a young age. He obtained his assistant guide license in high school and his registered guide license at the age of 27. He is one of main guides for Mileur's Guide Service and actively guides on Kodiak Island and in the Alaska Range. He spends his off season hunting and fishing throughout Alaska and being a carpenter in the summertime. He spends his winters traveling, riding snowmobiles, and snowboarding in Alaska's backcountry. ​
